Rebuild Ministries, the vision of Helen and Wayne Harray, is the product of decades of living as Christians attempting to express the call of God on our lives to help others. We believe that all of God's created world, men, women and children need to find wholeness in every part of them. This means spiritual, emotional and mental health as well as practical help to be released from poverty and oppression. We love to empower others to know the friendship and intimacy of Yeshua (Jesus).

Helen grew up in Auckland and graduated with a BA and Diploma in Teaching during the late 70’s. She married Wayne in 1981 and they have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. A call to more fulltime ministry took them to Invercargill in the South Island in 1990 and subsequently Helen was able to complete a B Theol and then ordination training at the Knox School of Ministry. Helen has been an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa, NZ since 2002.

She founded and led the studentsoul ministry at Otago University for 12 years and was Associate Pastor at Leith Valley Presbyterian Church until 2016. Along the way, her personal journey has seen her develop a defining and enduring interest in prayer ministry and counselling.

At the end of 2011 Helen gained a Bachelor of Social Services (BSS) in Counselling. This followed 20 years of courses, both Christian and otherwise, in counselling theory, skills and dynamics, Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) as well as 16 years of experience in pastoral counselling as a minister.

Among other things, Helen has training in Immanuel Prayer Ministry, Interactive Drawing Therapy, David Riddell's Schools of Living Wisdom, Anazao Schools of Trauma and Dissociation, Misbelief Therapy, Sexual abuse, Prayer and Deliverance Ministry, family and relationship dynamics, Bride Ministries training in DID, Inner Healing and Spiritual Warfare, Prepare/Enrich Marriage facilitation and can offer spiritual direction, supervision and mentoring.

Wayne  has journeyed with Helen since 1981. He comes from a background in dairy farming and horticulture, he retrained in insurance during the 1990's and in 2014 gained a diploma in civil engineering from Otago Polytechnic.
In July 2018, Helen and Wayne moved to Myanmar in order to continue to invest  in people and to establish a permaculture environment on 15 acres belonging to a Theological College in Kalaymyo. Helen initially taught Pastoral Care and English in the College and in 2019 was made HOD of the BA English Program. Since the Covid pandemic and the military coup in February 2021, Wayne and Helen have been residing in NZ, unable to return to Myanmar.
Helen and Wayne are now settled and semi-retired in Wanaka.  Helen is available part-time in 2024 for spiritually-focused counselling. She has written two books, Soul Detox (2023) and The Pretend Agreement (2024). Her books are available on Amazon in  paperback and kindle formats or by contacting her through this website. For those in NZ, paperbacks are best ordered from amazon.com.au.

As people’s image of God becomes Christ-like, the gospel once again is heard as good news.
