Rebuild Supervision and Spiritual Direction
An 'unexamined life' with regard to relationships, work or spirituality is not the 'abundant life'. It may be a life lived in reaction to people who can press your buttons, or your own self talk.
SUPERVISION
Professional Supervision plays an essential part in the health and well being and safety of all those involved in church ministry and caring professions. The opportunity to talk regularly with an objective person outside your work context is both a gift to yourself and an obligation.
Helen has considerable experience in supervising church ministry interns and mentoring university students individually and in groups. She has facilitated groups of students and women in group dynamics and life-skills, listening skills and pastoral care for the past 2 decades. As a Minister in the Presbyterian Church she has experience of most aspects of church ministry, including HR and staff management and is interested helping form the whole person as minister or pastor, youth or children's leader.
Helen offers spiritual counsel and prayer and the opportunity to reflect on and review the meaning of brokenness and trials as they inevitably strike the person in ministry, as well as the space to review time management, set goals and think about the future.
Supervision may be undertaken face to face or by Zoom.

SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
Spiritual Direction is the gift of a companion along the journey of the spiritual life, to help those with mature faith deepen their faith in the midst of life .
Spiritual direction is a 'prayer process in which a person seeking help in cultivating a deeper relationship with God, meets another for prayer and conversation that is focused on increasing awareness of God in the midst of life experiences and facilitating surrender to God’s will.'

Helen is also able to offer Spiritual Direction using the the 1-2-1 Walking with Jesus Approach or via a spiritual application of the Interactive Drawing Therapy model.
